July 13, 2017

New York, NY — Chain Store Age magazine announced that Bennett Van Wert, DWM’s National Sales Manager has been named a member of the 2018 Advisory Board to its SPECS Show, an annual event attended by retail and restaurant corporate executives involved in the planning, design, construction and maintenance of stores and restaurants nationwide.  Chain Store Age is the event sponsor.

Now in its 54th year, SPECS will host its 2018 conference in Dallas, at the Gaylord Texan, March 18-20.

The 2018 Advisory Board, which is comprised of approximately 45 industry leaders both from leading retail chains and key supplier organizations, will advise on the educational program for the 2018 conference, as well as serve as ambassadors for the entire event.

“It is an honor to have been selected to the SPECS/2018 Advisory Board,” said Van Wert.  “I am excited to leverage my experience and my company’s expertise to help create the best lineup of sessions in the conference’s 54-year history.”

Regarding Van Wert’s appointment to the board, Chain Store Age Executive Director of Events Katherine Boccaccio said, “The right board will ensure a top-notch program.  For 2018, we have a board that will guarantee success.”

Van Wert and the rest of the board met in Chicago in June to begin planning the 2018 sessions, and will reconvene in Orlando, Florida, in October to put the finishing touches on the program.
